What should I ask any long-distance mover?
Is the estimate binding or non-binding? Who is the actual carrier? What is the valuation on my goods, and what is the deductible? Is there a delivery window or a delivery date? Vague answers to those four questions are the warning sign.
How far in advance should I book?
Further than a local move — long-haul scheduling is less flexible, and summer is tight across the whole industry.
