This policy explains what Gladiator Movers collects through this website, why, and what we do with it. It is written to reflect our obligations under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
We only collect what we need to quote and carry out a move.
- Through the quote form: your name, phone number, email address, the addresses you are moving from and to, your move date, the size and type of your home, access details such as stairs or elevators, any heavy or specialty items, and anything you type into the notes field.
- Photos and video you choose to upload. These are optional. If you send them, we use them to prepare a more accurate estimate.
- Basic technical information your browser sends automatically, such as your IP address and the pages you viewed.
- Where you came from. If you arrived from an advert or a search, we record the campaign details attached to that link so we know which advertising is worth paying for.
Why we collect it
- To prepare your estimate and contact you about it.
- To plan and carry out your move if you book with us.
- To keep records we are required to keep as a business.
- To understand which pages and adverts bring in enquiries.
We do not use your details for anything else without asking you first.
What we do not do
- We do not sell your personal information.
- We do not share it with other movers, brokers or lead-generation companies.
- We do not send marketing email you did not ask for.
Who else sees it
Only the people who need to: our own crew and office staff, and the service providers that run this website and our email. Those providers process information on our instructions and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes. We may also disclose information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
Quote requests are kept while we are in touch with you and for a reasonable period afterwards in case you come back to us. Records relating to a completed move are kept as long as we are required to keep business records. Uploaded photos and video are deleted once they are no longer needed for your estimate or your move.
Cookies and analytics
This site uses a small amount of browser storage to remember where a visit came from so that a quote request can be attributed to the right advert or search. If analytics or advertising tools are enabled on this site, they may set their own cookies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the quote form will still work.
Your rights
You can ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct anything that is wrong, or delete it where we are not required to keep it. You can also withdraw your consent to being contacted at any time. Get in touch using the details on our contact page and we will respond within a reasonable time.
Security
This site is served over an encrypted connection, and quote requests are stored on access-controlled systems. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we ask you not to send sensitive information such as financial details through the quote form.
Children
This website is intended for adults arranging a move. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page.
